Deep Jyoti is a non profit organization, registered under the Indian Trust Registration Act. 1882.

Because we are working in the very rural area of Bihar India, called the Supaul District which is a Koshi (River) suffering area. Our primary focus is education for the children, but the remoteness of the village brought to light other needs in the community we couldn’t ignore. With no other organizations helping the community, it was left on us to do what we could to help them.

DJCT manages its little bit of funds through the One Rupee a Day Program which we run in the community sometimes, or through the efforts of individuals who wish to make a difference in the lives of children in need.

DJCT has still no institutional or Governmental support, but it is kept running by the great support of individual donors and well wishers.

You may choose to donate to a specific activity or area of the program and the funds will go directly to that area or activity. All other funds are distributed to whatever activity or area needs it most. You can see what activities and areas we have by looking at the Our Projects pages.
